My boys are spending their week in Prosperity, Sc at a camp called Camp Horseshoe. It takes about 45 minutes to drive there, but looking around you it is so simple and calm and a nice break from the hustle of reality. Oh to be young again,,horses, cows, goats, chickens, a baby goat who thinks he’s a chicken, canoes, archery, hiking, swimming, friends, sun, fun. Peaceful memories. The best of times…

Lake Murray Triathlon 2008~ Welcome to the Jungle! May 18, 2008
This morning I took our boys to watch Jeff in his 2nd triathlon of the season. The race started with a 700 yard swim in chilly Lake Murray, followed by a 16 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. I was able to take pictures of Jeff and his buddies, Marty, Herbie, Woody, and Clint. It was a blast to watch them compete at all different levels. My workout consisted of running- chasing the boys! Our jungles are much different!
Sweet Stella April 21, 2008
I spent a wonderful and warm weekend in Chicago vistiting my dear cousin, Lisa, her husband, Aaron, and their beautiful 3 month old baby girl, Stella! It was love at first sight for me! She is so perfect and such a miracle and gift from God. Being an only child, Lisa has always been like a sister to me, and Stella will be my “neice”. Aunt gretchen it is. Life is good for Lisa and Aaron and they are doing an amazing job as Stella’s mommy and daddy. I am so proud of how calm they are with her. She has blended right into their little family and already resembles her daddy’s looks and mommy’s style! I loved being with them all and can’t wait to see them again this summer. It’s always better when we’re together…
Annabelle Lynn Butcher March 31, 2008
Annabelle is an angel that I had the privaledge of spending time with while I captured these moments of her and her mom and dad and brother, Wyatt. I am blessed to have experienced such sweet and tender moments with her and her family. Annabelle went to heaven on March 27th and I will be forever grateful that I got to spend even just a short time with her. I loved seeing her look at me as I tried to capture the magic that she exuded. Her story is amazing and inspiring and can be found at www.babygirlbutcher.blogspot.com
